Mark Stokes
Mark is an APA Sports Physiotherapist, currently working as senior physiotherapy advisor at QAS as well as in private practice at Maximize Health, Camp Hill where Mark is an owner /director. Mark has extensive experience in working with various levels of sports including Australian Men’s Hockey team (Athens & Beijing Olympics), Queensland Men’s and Women’s Hockey, and one season with the Firebirds as well as Queensland open netball teams at nationals in the past.
Douglas Wilson
Douglas Wilson has worked as a Physiotherapist in Camp Hill since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2004. Douglas has a keen interest in sports and musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and has worked for various sporting clubs including Easts Rugby Union and the Queensland Reds. Currently some spare time is spent looking after Holland Park Hawks and Villanova College. His recreational pursuits include general fitness through running and swimming as well as having a crack at DIY home improvements.
Sue Hickey
Sue Hickey has 17 years experience as a Physiotherapist, having graduated from University of Queensland in 1994. She has worked many years s in private practice and has experience in Aged Care and Paediatrics. Sue has a very “Hands On “approach and particularly enjoys treating the spine and Tempromandibular joint. Sue has taught Clinical Pilates for the last 7 years, focusing on correct use of postural and motor patterns and is passionate about treating dysfunction with exercise. Being an exercise lover, Sue enjoys cross training, boxing, Tae Kwon Do and walking in between running 2 teenage boys around. In her down time, Sue loves getting away to The Northern N.S.W. and reading.
Julie Atkin
Julie graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
Since graduating Julie has undertaken training in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling and has attained Level 4 Clinical Pilates instructor status through Dance Medicine Australia (DMA). She also has a special interest in the field of women's health and sporting injuries.
Julie has a particular interest in AFL and joined the medical staff at the highly successful Morningside Panthers Australian Football Club early in 2008. She has been their head physio since March 2010. She has also worked as the team physio for the Queensland Women's Hockey under 18's, under 21's and senior teams during their National titles campaigns.
Julie enjoys playing beach volleyball, and can regularly be found doing pilates, yoga, and taking on the Maximize PT circuit classes!
Michael Walsh
Michael graduated from UQ in 2003 with a degree in Exercise Sport Science & Rehabilitation. Michael has worked as an Exercise Physiologist & Personal Trainer since 2008 providing his extensive experience and knowledge to a wide range of patients.
Michael has been the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation coach at East Rugby League Football Club for the last three years working with semi professional athletes. Michael is available at Maximize five days a week (including out of work hours) taking private lessons, group classes and injury rehabilitation sessions.
Having close family members and friends affected by illnesses and conditions Michael is driven to provide a quality level of service to help people reach their full potential and prevent any complications arising.

Sophie Sheehy
Sophie graduated as a remedial massage therapist from AIAP in 2001 and then undertook further studies in counselling, life coaching and kinesiology.
As the owner of Maximize Mind & Body, Sophie’s passion for her work is to provide the client with high quality treatment, coaching in a safe supportive environment and to gain greater transformation through kinesiology. She inspires her clients to take action in their own wellbeing, through educating and teaching to achieve their fullest potential.
Away from the clinic Sophie enjoys yoga, off road camping and exploring the great outdoors!

Amanda Van Eyk
Amanda is a qualified Dietitian with a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. Having completed a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies, she has also had ten years experience as a Health and PE teacher in Australia and abroad. Through these experiences, Amanda has developed a strong awareness and deep knowledge of healthy lifestyles and nutrition for the general population and especially children. She believes in helping people understand the importance of establishing lifelong healthy attitudes towards food and physical activity.
